Dragounis Publishing operates in Greece and Cyprus, specialising in magazines of all kinds.
Our Heritage
The history of Dragounis Publishing began in 1959, when its founder, journalist Ioannis G. Dragounis, took his first steps in publishing. The first publication was the newspaper “The Taxpayers’ Defence.” This marked the beginning of a long career in publishing, with numerous acclaimed and successful titles. The founder was soon joined by his sons, Georgios and Konstantinos Dragounis, who expanded the family business, established printing facilities and continuously launched new, successful titles. Some of these publications made their own mark on Greek publishing. These included the magazine “Tiletheatis,” which still holds the all-time sales record in Greece, as well as children’s publications that left an indelible mark on several generations, led by “Popeye,” which remained at the forefront for several decades.
Over the years, Dragounis Publishing forged strong partnerships and continued its operations as a member of the Attica Publications Group.
The publishing tradition is carried on by third-generation publisher Ioannis K. Dragounis, with operations in Greece and Cyprus and a vision for the future.
