LOUIS VUITTON

FLIGHT MODE COLLECTION

Exploring the art of travel anew, Louis Vuitton introduces its Flight Mode collection for Summer 2024. Conceived for the journey as well as the destination, this transversal capsule comprises ready-to-wear, travel leather goods, shoes and accessories that offer an elevated approach to contemporary voyage.

Leaning into summer, the Flight Mode collection revolves around a vibrant motif, Élysée Palace, defined by overlaid vintage-style travel patches emblematic of the Maison’s heritage. The motif is a tribute to the first Parisian luxury hotel at 103 avenue Champs-Élysées, a landmark location where Louis Vuitton will establish a new project.

Scenery constructed from a multitude of trunks recall bygone trips and the role of Louis Vuitton in untold adventures. This excitement is brought forward as Flight Mode connects past and present. Élysée Palace Hotel stamps appear directly on the Monogram canvas across bags such as the Keepall and the Side Trunk along with smaller passport holders and travel cases. This new canvas reproduces the original fabric from late 19th century trunks: a mix of cotton and linen, with a lightweight resin coating. Additional Flight Mode styles are conducive to travel, whether the new, Low Key Hobo and Shoulder bag in supple grained calfskin, the OnTheGo Voyage with its new inner compartments for easy storage and removable belt pouch, the iconic Capucines in a sophisticated body-friendly GM upscaled format with a comfortable shoulder carry design, or the small Blossom bag in a refreshing shade of mineral blue.

Given the endless considerations of travel, Flight Mode ready-to-wear imbues stylish sportswear silhouettes with movement and ease. From hooded capes, parkas and blousons in sumptuous or technical materials, to relaxed denim, lightweight layers in ample volumes and swimwear, pieces can be effortlessly worn in varying combinations to yield a versatile and balanced wardrobe. Coordinated ensembles – including tracksuits, embossed Monogram knitwear, cashmere sets and fluid tailoring in pinstripe – make for smart dressing. The Mahina Monogram in a feminine silk twill jacquard complements the feminine and earthy palette, while the Élysee Palace motif on jersey, twill or nylon turns essential items into colourful statement pieces.

Elysée Palace further delights as a new Travel Trunk silk square and bandeau with the patches arranged atop a trompe l’œil of the 1 Rue Scribe malle in both classic brown and the softer dune colourway.

Since Flight Mode encompasses activity and relaxation in equal measure, footwear spans the dynamic LV Rush sneaker with its recognisable graphic outsole and trail-inspired details on the upper to mules and sandals adorned with the signature Louis Vuitton hook. The Élysée Palace animation is printed on nylon on the iconic Pool Pillow comfort or played as patches crafted in leather on the Lous open back sneaker.

For a gleaming flourish, the capsule showcases both fine jewelry such as the LV Volt necklace in white gold and a selection of fashion jewelry. The LV initials from the GO-14 have been transposed to timeless earrings and a pendant necklace while bracelets and rings from Nanogram Enamel line can be worn as a single piece or stacked in multiples. Ornamented with delicate pearls, the LV Iconic Louisa earrings and ring signal a subdued elegance.

Lastly, a Dailygram bucket hat and LV Moon Metal Square sunglasses are must-have accessories, ensuring readiness for days under the summer sun. From a single item to an entire trousseau, Flight Mode imagines an endless horizon of traveling in style.
